Sitting in exquisite Silence at
the window
I recognize the Cosmic Breath of Infinity
breathing in, breathing out…
I recognize the Cosmic Breath of Infinity
breathing in, breathing out…
Held in the pause between
I know that “I” am being breathed
by an unseen Rhythm…
I know that “I” am being breathed
by an unseen Rhythm…
From the window
at the edge of Infinity
at the edge of Infinity
I see beyond form into the
formless void,
beyond moon and stars
into the Infinite Vastness
that holds it all…
beyond moon and stars
into the Infinite Vastness
that holds it all…
Aware of what is aware within:
Life – breathing ItSelf into
Existence…
Every sound is the Primordial
Sound
of Existence reverberating;
the breath of Life rippling through space…
of Existence reverberating;
the breath of Life rippling through space…
Hush
Be Silent
Listen
Be Silent
Listen
Entrain with the Cosmic Rhythm of Infinity
within you…
Breathe the Infinite Breath…
All is infinitely well…

This mandala reflects a view of the Cosmos
from buildings with windows in them surrounding
the inner circle,
symbolizing that there are many views,
many ways of seeing the Truth of Existence,
if we are willing to be still and look deeply.
I practice what I call "window sitting"
at night that I started back in 2010.
(See original post about it here.)
Like meditation, it helps me to see Reality more clearly,
from a place of Silent Awareness...

And I am in awe of all of this....your mandala is beautiful and intriguing!
ReplyDeleteMy perception ~ still grandmother moon and child but containing the cosmos and of course the doors! x
Thank you dear Sue :)
DeleteWhat a fantastic design. It reminds me of being pulled towards both the beauty of the city and "manmade landscapes" as well as towards nature and what it's like to try and seek a balance between them both...
ReplyDeleteThanks Uma :) It just kind of evolved, although I had the design for the center circle already, the "buildings"/skyline came later. I'm thinking of adding another outer circle as well. We shall see :)
DeleteBeautifully expressed awareness in words and drawing. Thank you for expressing and sharing this with us.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lynne... And thank you for your lovely comment.
Deleteinteresting how the buildings do look like buildings but also like some wonderful necklace. thank you for your talents and for your meditation.
ReplyDeleteThank you Suki :) Yes, I noticed an interesting pattern too. When I stepped back and softened my gaze, after having been focused on it, it was no longer buildings with windows, but a beautiful pattern encircling the center circle - like a necklace :) lol... Thank you as always for your comments :)
