Frozen earth bound in time,
waiting for the thaw;
allowing flow and movement
to regain rhythm and rhyme…
that illuminates the path...
Soul callers of the sky
fly in familiar formation,
following their
homing call;
unaffected by the
earth’s quiescent luminescence
of hibernation…
Mystic Meandering

Such a refreshing walk along this illuminated path. Thank you, and all the best for the coming year!
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely poem. I love that it includes the path and the pictures show so well "hibernation".
ReplyDeleteLove this line in particular "The silence of the hibernating land,
speaks in loud whispers?
wishing you much health, ease and joy in the coming year. May the year transform in ways that surprise and delight you! hugs, Carole
louciao ~ Welcome! And thank you! Wishing you a wonderfully creative year!
ReplyDeleteZDS ~ My you stay up late :) Sometimes me too... Thank you as always - yes, even the silence within speaks to us in loud whispers that we can't hear unless we're listening, noticing. It all just becomes background noise unless we're paying attention. Being in nature really heightens the senses, as I'm sure you know from your walks as well...
ReplyDeleteThank you for the loving well wishes! And of course I wish the same for you! - as well as a year of authentic creative expression for both of us! May the muse be with us! :) Heart Hugs - Christine
Lovely Christine. I can hear the snow and ice crunch beneath our feet...
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Dear One! Happiness, good health and well-being for you and all beings!
Kris ~ Ah - the lovely crunch of snow :) Thank you too, dear One, for your Presence here... :) And well-wishes to you for the New Year ahead!
ReplyDeleteHope things have settled with your Mother and her move...
Lovely photos... I am surprised to find that I am not missing ice and snow at all this year; maybe next winter will be different but for now I am simply treasuring the warmth of a SW winter. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThank you Darla... Am glad you are adjusting to your new desert environment for the winter! I grew up in New England and it took me a while to get used to the Colorado winters with much less snow, except in the mountains of course. This year we were blessed with a lot of early snow - which still lingers. Yippee! Yet, today was 65. Now *that* I have a hard time with - 65 in January?! :)
