Winter's Whimsies...

“Regard everything as transparent.
See through everything.

See that everything is in transition.

Liberate your concepts and beliefs.

Let go of the need for an “answer”,
a solution, a resolution…

Rest in the nature of Essence ~
The Primordial State of everything.

Be a child of fantasy.
Be curious instead of afraid…”

Quotes from Pema Chodron

When you can let yourself
really be
who and how
you are…
No one else
will have much
problem with it…

Practice letting yourself just BE!

Robyn Posin
For The Little Ones Inside

All life moves in cycles…

What has been
must often come apart
before what is to be
can come together…

Remember to honor
your courage
in the midst
of the
coming apart times.

Robyn Posin
For The Little Ones Inside

“What if we could really see the world
without a sense of separateness?

We must see what lies beyond
the perception of polarities…

Individuals are indivisible...
We are all “connected” through
our spacious Awareness…

Awareness is not about labeling different
”takes” on reality.
Awareness allows all ways of seeing to exist...
If you are rooted quietly in Awareness
you are fully aware of
the whole picture…”

Ram Dass
Be Love Now

“…..the deepest level of communication
is not communication, but communion.

It is wordless…

It is beyond words,
and it is beyond speech,
and it is beyond concept.

We discover we are already one.
But we imagine that we are not.

What we have to be
is what we already are…”

  1. Deliciously beautiful winter delight where you are, Christine! Very much admiring the sparkle in that image at the top. Inspiring words, as always. I've read much of the works of Thomas Merton, and loving these words today--"What we have to be is what we already are"...We are enough, just as we are right now. :o) Happy Weekend, my friend ((HUGS))

    1. Thank you as always Tracy :) The top image was taken while the Christmas Tree was still up, so there is a reflection of the tree lights, plus another light on inside. It was snowing out, so there is image of the snow in the foreground and the street light beyond the tree. Whimsical :) I used to read a lot of Thomas Merton way back when... Have a whimsical weekend :)

    1. Thank you Suki... Yes, me too. I am starting a practice of just following the breath into the lower Dantien while repeating, I am Awareness - or just the word "Awareness" before I get out of bed in the morning. It seems to help... But I have to bring myself back to that space often during the day...

  3. ps posting on your blog does not require word verification. to have it or not is the blog owners choice as it can be selected, or not, in the settings menu. I have now taken it off my blog. this leaves one open to spam so I'll just have to see what happens.

    1. Yes, I know - thanks. I have noticed that Blogger has changed their format and coloring for this word verification on several blogs I went onto yesterday. They are *much* harder to read! I have had very little spam in the 2 and 1/2 years that I've been on blog. It's too bad it's so hard to get a hold of Blogger to tell them about this! I have left messages in the Forum section before and most recently am not getting any response..

    2. have to read your post yet but just wanted to say that these I have heard that these hard to read word verifications actually have a purpose, that they are bits from old texts that are in need of deciphering and this is part of helping to get the work done. I don't know how true it is but I like the story!

    3. Interesting story :) My thoughts on it are that it would have been nice if that had been explained so that we could *choose* whether to participate or not :) And I'm more concerned with accessibility to the readers, being able to easily leave a comment than to struggle with figuring out a code of letters, getting distracted by the technical... But as Suki says, we can turn it off.

  4. Just read your lovely words! Wonderful reminders of where to point ourselves especially when we get tangled in the forest of our thoughts. Words to wake up by! Thanks as always for the inspiration.

    1. Tabor you are so sweet :) Just quotes that spoke to me and went with the photos :) I am becoming a "birder" - inspired by your blog! Although not the photographer that you are! We hung a bird feeder right outside out eating area window. So far just a few Finches, but a bunch of Robins showed up in the yard yesterday as well...

  6. Christine you have such an artistic eye! Lovely photos! They speak...

    "not communication, ... communion"

(after the first sparkling one, I love the "cupcakes" with snow cream frosting.)

    1. Thank you Kris! :) Yes aren't those cupcakes delicious looking :) LOL We'll have to get your favorite espresso and enjoy :) Although that last one, the crock, I refer to as R2D2 - :) from the movie Star Wars. His sidekick C3PO used to have to *communicate* for him. Thought that was fitting :)
