Days unfold like waterfalls.
Nights are welcome Silence
at the window -
just sitting,
allowing
the flow
of the
day
to
come
to
the
edge
and
gently
fall
away

Lovely. Makes me more relaxed just reading it.
ReplyDeleteMy reaction to this was the same as Uma's. I breathed a deep sigh of relaxation. Such a lovely sentiment. Would love to spend more time in this place of accepting the flow of life, not worrying or asking why.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dear ZDS :) Me too - wanting to spend more time in this place - to deepen into that Natural State - which is why I think I write about it when I experience it - to remind me of what it feels like!
DeleteI can just "hear" your voice saying these words to me as I sit in meditation and stare out the window. To let go of trying, doing trying to figure out the why of things. such a wonderful place to be. thank you and love the drawing.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sweet Suki :) Meet you at the window :) Heart Hugs...
Deletetlol...I take it back. I really Love this One the BEST-est. Seriously. What else is needed?!? Nothing...(((♥)))
ReplyDeleteJust resting forever at the window :) Thank you fellow "window sitter"! ♥:)
DeleteA mesmerizing practice, just reading your poem and feeling the water fall in me.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ruth ~ ~ ~ And what an exquisite poem you have posted! "Caravanserai"
DeleteI wish I could be that calm... wow. Thank you for creating such a wonderful picture/reminder of just setting everything down, all that baggage I carry around all the time.
ReplyDeleteIt seems it is a continual practice :) Believe me I'm not this calm! Especially with "the situation" next door :) But when I spend time in Silence - Meditation - and deep relaxation I am able to see beyond all the surface stuff and a lot of the mind and emotional baggage drops away naturally. And I can then just rest in that space of calm abiding. I'd love to be able to experience this continuously!
