“When your ‘soul’ (Consciousness) awakens,
you begin to truly inherit your life.
You leave the kingdom of fake surfaces,
repetitive talk,
and many weary roles,
and slip deeper into the true adventure of
who you are,
and who you are called to become.
you begin to truly inherit your life.
You leave the kingdom of fake surfaces,
repetitive talk,
and many weary roles,
and slip deeper into the true adventure of
who you are,
and who you are called to become.
The greatest friend of the soul is
the unknown…
Yet we are afraid of the unknown
because
it lies outside our vision and our control.
We avoid it or quell it by filtering it
through our protective barriers of
domestication and control.
it lies outside our vision and our control.
We avoid it or quell it by filtering it
through our protective barriers of
domestication and control.
The normal way never leads home…”

“The spiritual journey is
individual, highly personal.
It can’t be organized and regulated.
We can only keep turning to our Hearts,
listening to what feels right...
It isn’t true that everyone should follow one path.
Listen to your own truth…”

Photo: This is actually a photo of a curtain on a
window
I digitally played with the colors and got this affect
of a building with windows – albeit distorted -
reflecting, for me anyway, that there
are many windows of the soul
we have yet to
open...

Nice work/words. Sigh - wish it was easier sometimes. Easy to understand and agree - not so much putting it into action and yet I know too now - it is a process. Thanks for all the reminders!
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrea... :) You certainly are "putting it into action", as you say, with your expressive paintings, painting the soul! :) And you have been walking into the unknown for many years now - following your Heart :)
Deletethe photo is wonderful. well we all long for a home and certainty. but he is always encouraging us not to settle for comfort over depth.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, seems like we are constantly challenged, doesn't it!? - as Life keeps inviting us to face the unknown... B reminded me today that it is our "Divine Nature " that is having a "human nature" experience :) And of course human nature always wants security. Yet our "Divine Nature" evidently wants to explore the unknown, to experience all aspects of life. I always seem to forget that and fall back into the trance of "human nature." And so I post these things I find that speak to me to remind myself! lol Thanks!
DeleteLOVELY photo image, Christine--those colors! "The greatest friend of the soul is the unknown…" that gives me much food for thought today, and how to cultivate that kind of friendship. :o) ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteThanks Tracy, glad you liked it :)
