The Silence of the Great Void
that appears as an empty chasm
connects us
to the Infinite Cosmic Waves of Love…

connects us
to the Infinite Cosmic Waves of Love…
We are the face of
”The Divine”,
the face that lights our face,
inseparable…
”The Divine”,
the face that lights our face,
inseparable…
The Infinite Cosmic Spirit
echoes our face
before we are born…
echoes our face
before we are born…
We are loved beyond measure
When we know this
we will heal…
When we know this
we will heal…

This Mandala was made with compass
and templates.
The profiles in the center circle were made from a bookmark
shaped like the crescent moon.
The waves in the larger circle were from a wave template.

this mandala is gorgeous! so beautiful and so unique!
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful Christine, as are you, I hope you enjoyed making this, it certainly gives me pleasure and your words too!
ReplyDeleteBTW If you go to Dirty Footprints Studio, Connie has a free painting workshop I think you might like this it inspired me, I love her child-like playfulness, she also touches on yoga breathing. x
Thank you Sue! Yes, I was especially tickled after I finished the inner circle :) That's my favorite part of this one. I held my breath doing the outer waves :) Thanks for the link. I'll check it out! :)
DeleteSo Brilliant!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Aarathi! Heart giggles :)
DeleteThose shapes, the crescent moon and the wave, are two others that have been resonating through my life, so I especially like this mandala----though all you have shown us are so lovely.
ReplyDeleteI like black paper, too, and found that playing with neon-colored pens on it is much fun!
Thanks Chris! Glad it speaks to you! Yes, working with black paper creates such a magical effect. I'm really liking it!
DeleteAbsolutely stunning - artwork and poetry! Thank you for this - a true healing energy and antidote to the chaotic pain of this week's events. I needed to see and read this. I very much love the simplicity of your mandala which invites me in to use my own imagination - an emotional touchstone/sharing between artist and viewer. Love the color too. Bravo! Andrea
ReplyDeleteThank you Dear Andrea... Although the timing was not planned for this week, it certainly has a soothing/calming affect with all the chaotic energy that has been prevalent this week... Peace to you...
Deletelove the mandala combining moon and ocean waves. wonderful colors too, simple and calming. thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and talents.
ReplyDeleteThank you Suki! I'm amazed that they come out the way they do! And that they touch people in the way they do, which touches me! It's circular :) Think I have found my niche...:)
DeleteBeautiful how you've incorporated the light of love, the light of our faces, the light of being, the light of being seen, the unbearable lightness of being...and the light of the moon upon the waves of love that flood our little round planet. At least, these are the impressions your words and image instill within me.
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you, "Lynne with an e" :) I love that new handle! I also love your impressions and that you shared them with me... Thank you...
DeleteOur face before we are born ... when we know this we will heal. Powerful words. (And a beautiful mandala!)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely :) I think it's what we are all wanting to know - what was our face before we were born... ie: who are we... Thank you for your wonderful words as well :)
DeleteThis one stopped me in my tracks...and drew me in...the moment I saw it. Love, love, love!
ReplyDeleteThank you Stacy! Your comment is much appreciated! I'm finding my flow! :) WooHoo! Yes, Love, love, love - the flow of love...
DeleteLOVE this moon and wave mandala, Christine! I got shivers when it came up on the screen...wow... I feel like dancing with the Universe when I see this! Have you thought of posters or note cards of your art for sale? ;o) And I love these words... "We are loved beyond measure"...This slows me down today as I feel "pressure" of to-do lists, etc. Happy Week ((HUGS))
DeleteThank you Tracy :) Funny my husband mentioned making note cards :) It's a little too early for all of that yet. As this is only my 4th mandala, and I have so many more designs in mind, but I see that coming :) I also want to make note cards from some of my photography as well. All in time.
DeleteNow I will see faces in the great ocean. Thank you.
ReplyDelete:) And hopefully find peace in the rhythmic waves lapping up on shore - remembering...
