Welcome...

Come meander with me on the pathless path of the Heart
in these anecdotal,
sometimes inspiring, sometimes personal meanderings of the Heart's opening in the every-day-ness of life...

The Open Path...

It may be that when we no longer
know what to do
we have come to our real work…

And when we no longer know
which way to go
we have come to our real journey…

Wendell Berry

~

We’re all just walking each other home.

Ram Dass

~

If you don’t write the things
deep inside your own heart
what’s the use of churning
out so many words…?

Ryokin

~

I believe in all that has never yet been spoken.
I want to free what waits within me,
so that what [I have not] dared …
may for once spring clear
without my contriving.

If this is arrogant, forgive me,
but this is what I need to say.
May what I do flow from me like a river,
no forcing and no holding back,
the way it is with children.

Then in these swelling and ebbing currents,
these deepening tides moving out, returning,
I will sing to you as no one ever has,
streaming through widening channels
into the open sea.

Rainer Maria Rilke
Rilke’s Book of Hours

  3. Such wonderful quotes! I love "we're all just walking each other home". It has such a tender, kind feeling. I remember as a teenager walking with a dear friends, walking and talking back and forth down a road and mid way we would part and run the rest of the way home. It is this memory and feeling of companionship that this quote evokes for me. If we could be with people in this way?

  4. ZDS ~ Thank you! Yes, that one - "we're all just walking each other home" - touched my heart when I read it. It actually reminded me of your picture of the monks walking! :) And it also evokes for me that no matter what our "path" we really are just walking each other "Home." Am enjoying sharing our "travels" together through our blogs, learning from each other as we each go in our own way - walking each other home... :) Heart Hugs, C
