Saturday
my husband and I went on an “outing” and discovered a new place for me to
meander… We found this wonderful Eden about 20 mins from
here. It has gardens and ponds tucked
away along nature paths with wetlands and waterfalls, and - well just about
everything one could want in nature to meander in. We left realizing we didn’t get to see the
cascading waterfalls. I intend to make
this my new sanctuary – a place to
wander – to take photos – to sit and commune – to be in silence, yet not
isolated – just being… Here’s a first
pass look at our meanderings in nature’s sanctuary… There will be more… :)
The goose
in the following video was snoozing as we walked up. The other geese went into the water. He woke up and suddenly realized he had been
left behind. It made for a rather
comical moment. Wait for me!
it looks beautiful, manicured but not too much. Happy wandering and sitting. Look forward to trips there with you and your ponderings.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a public gardens, which is perfect for feeling safe :)
DeleteThis looks like a perfect spot to reflect amongst the lotus flowers...
ReplyDeleteYes, there are several "lily" ponds with benches to sit and reflect... ahhhhh
Delete*sigh*... such a lovely tranquil place to wander, meditate and just be! :o) LOVE the image with the water lilies... Thank you for taking us with you, Christine ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteYes, I am excited to have found it. Our temps this week though will be in the 90's and already a 100, so will not be wandering this week :)
DeleteA beautiful discovery set in your path.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's been there all along and we just didn't check it out!
DeleteI, too, look forward to walking with you on these paths and seeing your photos. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI hope to get better pictures the next time. Some were with B's cell phone camera. We were like two kids trying to take it all in...
Deleteoh such a gorgeous find. lucky you. and yes, the video is so cute and good musical accompaniment too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Suki! :) Well, we tried to put the little video together late last night, trying to find royalty free music, and ended up with "Pop Goes The Weasel" - :) I am anxious to go back and explore, but this week we have temps in the 90's and yesterday 100, so hopefully next week :)
Deleteomgsh...this beautiful refuge is only 20 minutes away?!?!? I'd, for sure, be there every day. Thanks for the sweet goose post.

Well it all depends on the bod, and the bod doesn't like to be out in 90-100 degree weather :) And, interestingly depends on whether Being wants to go walk or not. Today it is only in the 60's - Yahoo - but Being wanted to do 2 hours of much needed yard work... But it's just nice knowing that "refuge" is there :) Wasn't that goose funny!
DeleteWhat a wonderful treasure you found. I enjoyed walking the path with you. Thank you for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed! Thanks for coming along! :)
